When is the best time to schedule my maternity session?
As a Toronto family photographer, I recommend scheduling your maternity session between 28-32 weeks along. This is typically when you’re showing beautifully but still comfortable enough to enjoy the session.
When is the best time to schedule my newborn session?
For newborn sessions, I suggest scheduling after your baby is at least 2 weeks old. This allows time for your little one to settle and ensures we capture those precious early moments.
Where is the best location to have our family session?
As a Toronto family photographer, I offer flexibility in choosing the perfect location. Maternity and family sessions can take place in a studio, your home using natural window light, or an outdoor location like a park or beach. I’ll work with you to find a spot that feels right for your family.
Will my husband and/or other children be a part of my newborn session?
Absolutely! Your newborn session is as much about family as it is about your baby. I encourage including your partner and any siblings to create timeless family memories.
What should we wear?
For your session as a Toronto family photographer, I recommend keeping outfits formal and simple. Avoid large logos, neon colors, or clashing patterns. Soft, complementary colors work best, and don’t be afraid to add a pop of color if that’s your style. Feel free to bring multiple outfits if you’d like a variety of looks!
Are we able to have the session at my house?
Yes! The only requirement for an at-home session is plenty of natural window light. This could be in your bedroom, nursery, or even the kitchen. If you’re unsure, I’m happy to help assess your space. Alternatively, we can use a relative’s home, rent a studio, or even an Airbnb.
What kind of family photography packages do you offer?
As a Toronto family photographer, I offer both individual sessions and multi-session packages. My popular Motherhood Collective includes your choice of one or two sessions, or 4 session such as maternity and newborn or newborn and one-year sessions. Will I receive the digital files from my session?
Yes! All session packages include high-resolution digital files, allowing you to share, print, and archive your photos. I also offer professional art options like prints, wall portraits, and albums to beautifully display your memories.
